Overview
Lumapay - personal exploration of what a payments tool for solo creatives could feel like.
Freelancers juggle invoicing, client tracking, and income visibility across tools that weren't built for independent work. I designed Lumapay's brand and product experience - landing page, dashboard, invoice flow - with a dark, cinematic identity: a warm glow-lit gradient logo replacing fintech's usual flat, trustworthy-blue look.
Challenge
Existing invoicing tools feel either too corporate or too basic to handle real freelance finances - milestones, partial payments, tax estimates. The goal was a tool that feels easy and approachable, without losing clarity on money-critical states like paid, pending, and overdue.
Impact
I designed Lumapay's full identity - a gradient word mark logo, paired with a dark, moody core palette, plus a dimensional icon mark using warm and cool tones to echo the brand's light source. I carried that identity through a dark-mode product UI, all built around the same warm-glow-on-dark aesthetic, so the brand feels cohesive from first impression to daily use.
